On one of our ancestors from the time we write:
1500 is also time for the great voyages of discovery.
This circumnavigate the world was a huge influence on a seafaring nation like the Danish. Now 500 years later, the Danish merchant fleet has grown into the largest in the world and transports 10% of all ocean freight.

5. "Thorvald Bak's family" is based on archive studies carried out by Nerthe's cousin Lasse Bak and written down by Lars Olav Thomsen after his notes ca. 1980.
6. "Petra's Family" is based on archival studies conducted at Landsarkivet i Nørrejylland by Petra's nephew Ejnar and communicated to Petra's sister Agnes in 14 letters and postcards 1973-1974. The notes are systematized and written by Lars Olav Thomsen.
7. "Lars and Sara's Family" is a copy of a family book by Else Berthelsen (cousin Martine's daughter) and a copy of the ancestry list of Lars' family on Folden has been taken.
